PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS You must obtain a Personal Identification Number ("PIN") to use the CU Online service. Your PIN is confidential, and you agree not to reveal it to anyone else. You also agree that we may rely on the authority of anyone who provides your PIN at the time of making a CU Online transaction. You agree to tell us immediately if someone else learns your PIN.
HOW TO USE CU Online Each time you ask to transfer funds or obtain information, you must provide: · Your PIN · The number of your deposit or loan account about which you want information or from which you want funds transferred or advanced For a transfer, the number of the deposit or loan account to which you want funds transferred. We are not obligated to make CU Online transaction unless you provide the above information, but if we do so, you agree to be bound by such a transfer. CU Online transactions processed after 11:00 A.M. on any business day will be posted on the following business day. Transactions processed any time on Saturday, Sunday or a Credit Union holiday will be posted at 11:00 A.M. the next business day and will be effective on the date of posting.
LIMITS ON CU ONLINE There is no limit on the number or amount of the CU Online transactions you my make, although we reserve the right to limit CU Online transactions to ensure the security of any or all of our accounts. We do not have any obligation to make a CU Online transfer from your deposit account if your account has insufficient available funds. If we inadvertently do so, you agree to pay us the amount in excess of your credit limit, or for which there were insufficient available funds, immediately and without demand from us.
TELEPHONE CHARGES You are responsible for any telephone charges that you incur when using CU Online.
OUR LIABILITY FOR ERRONEOUS TRANSACTIONS If you give an account number you did not intend to give in requesting a CU Online transaction, you are bound. We may, but are not obligated to, reverse any transaction you notify us was made in error, and we are not liable for any damages to you arising out of the transaction. You are also bound if someone to whom you give authority performs any erroneous transactions.
LIABILITY REGARDING SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE Except as specifically provided in this Agreement or where the law requires a different standard, you agree that neither we nor any service provider shall be responsible for any loss, property damage, or bodily injury, caused by the equipment, software, or Internet browsers (such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Explorer), or by Houghton Mifflin Employees Federal Credit Union or any internet access provider or online service provider, or by any agent or sub-contractor of any of the foregoing. In addition, neither the Credit Union nor any service provider shall be responsible for any direct, indirect, special, consequential, or other damages arising in any way out of the installation, use, or maintenance of the equipment, software, or Internet browser.
STATEMENTS You will continue to receive a monthly statement for all draft accounts and quarterly statement for all share accounts you access through the CU Online service even if there has been no activity in the account.
OTHER PROVISIONS Use of CU Online to initiate electronic fund transfers is also governed by all of the provisions in the "Membership and Account Agreement" and "Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Funds Availability Disclosures."
